Google recently announced Google Earth application for the iPhone and iPod Touch which will brings all the power of the desktop version of Google Earth to your finger tips. The application is a free download from the App Store, with the features to browse global satellite imagery and 3D terrain, view over 8 million photos or read Wikipedia articles, this application is by far the iPhone’s most useful. you can also take a view from vertical down, to a side elevation and the 3D view of the location. In addition you can also explore different areas on earth, making the apps more useful tool to find out information relative to your location.
Yahoo on Wednesday announced that they will bring oneConnect social address book application to Apple’s App Store to work on both the iPhone and iPod touch. Yahoo’s oneConnect application lets users to connected with friends by sending instant messages or SMS messages, and view their friends’ latest activity, the service supports also AOL Instant Messenger along with Yahoo Messenger, and also support for social networks like Facebook and MySpace.
The Japanese version 3G iPhone will make a shutter sound wherever a picture is taken, even in silent mode, it is supposed to deter voyeurs from taking dirty pictures up women’s’ skirts — or down their tops in a public place. This is nothing new for the nation because most of the cell phones come with this feature.
